The LiFE Index: Free Workshop and Webinar series Feb 2012

Jimmy Brannigan (EAUC/ESD Consulting)

LiFE Index Workshop Flyer [PDF]

Sustainability performance management is a complex and novel domain for most tertiary education institutions, so ACTS is bringing our expert Jimmy Brannigan (EAUC/ESD Consulting) back to Australia and New Zealand to run some interactive workshops and webinars.

The LiFE Index is a comprehensive online tool, which provides frameworks for progressing sustainability in an institution through four main categories: Leadership and Governance; Learning, Teaching and Research; Partnerships and Engagement; and Operations. It will also have the capacity to store data against sector specific metrics.

In this workshop you can find out how to make the most out of the LiFE Index performance management and improvement tool, developed by the sector, for the sector.

The free face-to-face workshops being held in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney are open for ACTS and non-ACTS members alike, to have the opportunity to delve deep into the LiFE Index with lead consultant and developer Jimmy Brannigan. The workshop will run for approximately 2 – 2.5 hours and is applicable for sustainability professionals, facilities managers and professionals, academics, managers and anyone interested in finding a solution to managing and improving sustainability performance within a tertiary education institution.

  • Melbourne – 22 February 2012, 9am till 11:30am, Victoria University, City Flinders campus (Flinders St), Room C901
  • Brisbane – 23 February 2012, 9am till 11:30am, The Conservatorium, Griffith University
  • Sydney – 28 February 2012, 9am till 11:30am, MGSM Conference Centre, Level 7, 37 Pitt Street, Sydney

The online webinars will run for approximately 1.5 hours and will be hosted by Jimmy Brannigan. The platform for the webinars will be GoTo Webinars, with information on how to log on provided after you have registered to attend. Webinars provide you with an opportunity to find out about the LiFE Index, whilst not having to leave your desk.

  • 17 February 2012, 1pm till 2:30pm
  • 23 February 2012, 2pm till 3:30pm
  • 29 February 2012, 9:30am till 11am

New Zealand

After consultation with colleagues in New Zealand, it was decided that rather than use a whole lot of carbon miles for Jimmy to fly to Auckland to run a 2-2.5 hour LiFE Index session in person, we would instead run a videoconference so that New Zealand colleagues could at least have an opportunity to have a more interactive session with lead consultant and developer Jimmy Brannigan. Those able to attend the University of Auckland on the day are invited to do so. Those who want to attend via video conference will be contacted after registration with details of how to do so. Please register as soon as possible so that this can be arranged.
