In line with the new strategic direction and focus of ACTS, the governing structure of the association was significantly changed in 2010. The new governing board was nominated and elected at the Annual General Meeting held at Victoria University in Melbourne on 29 September 2010. The governing structure of the association now includes:

• ACTS Advisory Board – to provide advice to the Executive Board, whose invited members consist of sustainability champions within the Higher Education and Corporate sectors.
• ACTS Executive Board – that governs the association, and whose members are nominated and voted into their position at the Annual General Meeting.
• Regional Directors – a subset of the Executive Board who represent the interests and provide a contact within a specific region of Australasia and are nominated and voted into their position at the Annual General Meeting.
