Since 2009. I learned early on in life of the value of professional networks, both to help and get help, whether that is at a base level of moral support through to active sharing of information/documents that can save a lot of time to deliver the positive sustainability outcomes we are all working towards.

Corey is currently serving as President on the ACTS Board of Directors, and has been an active committee member since 2011.

What’s your favourite thing about ACTS?

My favourite things about ACTS are the amazing people that volunteer their time to advance the organisation’s aims at all levels from their teams and organisations through to global impacts AND our staff that consistently work above and beyond because they, too, are mission driven people.

What’s your biggest professional accomplishment(s) so far?

My absolute surprise professional accomplishment is to be given the role of sustainability mission integrator at the University of Tasmania in 2020 that recognises my professional contribution as well as my clear passion for sustainability outcomes both within and beyond my university.

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

Anyone happily reading a book on a warm beach with water warm enough to swim in (I live in Tasmania – not many weeks a year I’d say we have the latter!).

When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

Gardening, bushwalking, kayaking and watching a good movie or series.

What’s something about you not many people know?

I spent 16 years working in and around Antarctica, including three winters in a row.
