Join the RMIT Sustainability Team and Dr Robyn Leeson the Vice-Chair of the Global Sustainability Standards Board in a discussion around formal sustainability reporting. The session will focus on RMIT as a case study and discuss the benefits of reporting using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. It will also look at the current impacts of COVID-19 and emerging trends in sustainability reporting.

Dr Robyn Leeson – Vice-Chair of the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) – Global Reporting Initiative

Robyn has more than 25 years of experience in the sustainability field. She has worked for Australian government agencies at all levels and as a consultant to businesses and industry bodies on policy development, strategy and reporting in sustainability. Her focus is on the development and application of disclosure frameworks and standards primarily with companies listed on the ASX in the resources, agriculture and food processing sectors. Robyn has served on multiple governance bodies of the Global Reporting Initiative and is currently Vice-Chair of the GSSB.

Lin Stevenson – Senior Manager, Sustainability RMIT

Lin Stevenson has been working at RMIT University since 2009, having previously worked in various UK local government sustainability roles. As the Senior Manager, Sustainability and Deputy Chair of the RMIT Sustainability Committee she leads a team which provides strategic advice to the executive and the wider community on sustainable management of assets and operations. Based within the Property Services Group, responsibilities include strategy development, project coordination, infrastructure planning, reporting, partnerships and communication to enhance the University’s profile as a sustainable organisation. In her role on the Sustainability Committee, she also oversees governance issues, such as policy development, responsible investment and Corporate Social Responsibility. Lin is also a long-standing member of the ACTS Board.
