How to Enter

Any tertiary education institution within and outside Australasia is eligible to enter, including universities, TAFE, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and Registered Training Organisations (RTO), with the exception of:
  • The ACTS Awards of Excellence are only eligible for ACTS members.
Third party organisations are eligible to submit, provided it is in conjunction with a leading institutional partner. Multi-partner projects are also eligible. Entry is free and there is no limit to the number of entries you can make providing your project meets each category criteria. Winning an Award can bring huge awareness and positive PR to your institution!

And don’t let being small put you off…Smaller institutions are eligible to apply for all categories, plus judges have the discretion to award up to two winners (small and large) for the Continuous Improvement: Institutional Change category (small institution < 15,000 FTE enrolled students). New for this year is the Creating Impact category which demonstrates how you can have a big impact with fewer resources.

Applications for the Green Gown Awards Australasia take place over two stages. This revised structure has distinct benefits for all applicants: it allows for a shorter, more streamline process for all applicants at Stage 1; and enables a feedback process to achieve a more uniform and better quality of application.

Stage 1 Information

Stage 1 a simplified 2-page application form. Judges will select a shortlist of finalists from Stage 1 applicants, who will be invited to submit a more detailed application for Stage 2 in September. No detailed marketing information is required at this stage (except for the Individual Award nomination).

Before you make an online submission please ensure you have read the Stage 1 Guidance Notes for Participants and accepted the Conditions of Entry. Choose the correct category for you (or multiple categories) and gather all the necessary documents and imagery. Online submissions cannot be saved part way through.
